Taira and Minamoto

Found an article on historical sea battle in1185 between Taira and Minamoto. In this battle Taira lost. Their samurai jumped overboard choosing death over defeat.

After that battle local fishermen have found many crabs who's backs looked like human faces.
Samurai-crabs.

The legend says samurai's souls moved to crabs. Whenever fishermen catch a crab like these, they let them back into the see.

The art of Hiragana

Seems to me that Hiragana writing is an art, not just a simple copy of the signs. Each sign has own history of transformation.

Learning Hiragana

Seems like japanese languauge has more vowels, than arabic (3 only). However, hiragana is very organized. a,i,u,e,o. easy!
